TL;DR I used to have a a Genius Mouspen i608 tablet which had a lot of issues with drivers. I'm choosing between Wacom Intuos Pen and Monoprice tablet, but I'm not a fan of the size of Wacom, and I'm worried I might have some trouble with Monoprice drivers as I had with Genius drivers
I've had a Genius Mouspen i608 for the past 6 years, and it was an enjoyable experience using it, a very optimal size, but it required me to:
-tinker with the settings for hours every couple of weeks to get it work right
-a whole bunch of restarting due to the pressure not working properly
-the pen always broke so I had to fix it
A couple of months ago, the tablet has completely broken down and I have a couple of questions regarding my next choice.
The options include Wacom Intuos Pen S or a Monoprice tablet.
While I'm sure I wouldn't have any problems with the quality of Wacom, I'm worried about the size. It's smaller than my previous tablet, but since then I've gotten a bigger monitor 23", plus added another one of 21". Also I feel like the size would be a bit too small for painting and 3D sculpting. Money isn't really a problem, but drawing digitally isn't something I do every day so I don't think that getting something more expensive like an Intuos 4 would be a wise idea.
I like the sizes of Monoprice available for a low price, but that makes me think that there is a reason for it. I don't want 50% of my tablet experience to be just tinkering and trying to fix it, like it previously was.
Also, the drivers for the old Genius tablet took up like 90% of my CPU, really overheated my computer when I tried playing videogames. Yeah, would like to avoid that.
